What You Can Do to Help Change Your World

Once again we are reminded of the negative aspects of life as we witness the senselessness of another mass shooting. We watch and we are aghast at the reality of another 9 lives lost in a scenario that never should have happened. The why’s of this situation, like so many before it, will never truly be known. Even if they could be known would we ever accept a reason that makes the unfortunate event any better or any easier to deal with?

New Blog on Huffington Post about Mastering Time!

It may be time for our idea of time to change. Time is our most precious resource, yet each year, we seem to have less and less of it as our lives get busier and busier. Every day, we have a new set of tasks to complete and there are now so many distractions, and there is so much information coming at us on a daily basis, it’s no wonder we have lost that precious state of just enjoying the moment. A whole world of people now have their heads buried in their cell phones for most of the waking day and more than they’d like to admit during the wake-filled night. We have become digital information junkies. The result is a stressed-out, energy-drained state of mind, body and spirit. As a result, we have lost a big sense of peace and contentment with ourselves and the world around us. What if you looked at time not from the perspective of time being limited but rather from the perspective of time being unlimited? What if you came to realize that your experience of time and how things all come together for you are actually rooted in how you interpret yourself and the world? Questions About The New Book: Time In A Bottle

Questions About The New Book: Time In A Bottle

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                  Publicity Contact: Keely Bomee Platte   May 1, 2014                                                                             A Conversation With   Howard Falco   Author ofTIME IN A BOTTLE:   Mastering the Experience of Life       1.     In Time in a Bottle you frequently refer to the state or power of I AM. What does “I AM” mean within the context of this new book?  Is reading your first book I AM: The Power of Discovering Who You Really Are a requisite for fully understanding Time in a Bottle?    Reading my first book I AM is not a requisite for reading Time in a Bottle. They both support and complement each other. While I AM focuses on radical self-awareness, Time in a Bottle is about the process of personal creation. What the power of I AM refers to in the context of the new book is the power within you to determine who you are and then to connect this understanding with how much of an impact it has on your experience of “Time.”       2.     What is your primary goal with this book – what do you hope readers take away from it?    What I hope readers take away is how much they are in control over the experience of their life. I hope they realize that they hold the true power within them to create both the experience that they have each day and the time it takes to realize their deepest dreams and desires. I hope they come to embrace how limitless they truly are.       3.     You provide private coaching for individuals, athletes and teens.  How do you feel your advice in Time in a Bottle can be best applied to these separate categories of people?    Every experience we want to create starts with an intention. The time it takes to manifest that intention is determined by both the belief system of the individual and the awareness of the individual. Time in a Bottle is deeply committed to helping the reader align both of these critical factors together so they can achieve what they want faster and with less suffering, confusion and potential roadblocks along the way. It is about seeing and believing in more of what is possible for them each day.     4.     You encourage us to adjust and broaden our perspective of time in order to “collapse” it so that we may actualize our goals faster than before – to essentially cut a more direct path from point A to point B.  How do you define “time”?    I see time as the gap between thought and realization, the space between intention and experience, the movement between the experience of creating the dream and the actual realization of the dream. I see time as the journey of never-ending awareness.       5.     Oftentimes when met with an obstacle or challenge in life (missing a flight, spilling your coffee, ending a relationship, etc.), people say, “It happened for a reason,” – believing that whatever is meant to happen will happen.   What is your reaction to this phrase and do you encourage this belief?    I believe that everything that happens in the entire universe is for a specific purpose.  There is nothing random as it relates to you the observer. It’s all about raising your awareness in a direct working relationship with your bigger questions, dreams, desires, and intentions.  The reason I encourage looking at the world from this perspective is that it reduces resistance, denial and time, and allows the reader to...

The 5 Biggest & Most Damaging Lies We Tell Ourselves

The 5 Biggest & Most Damaging Lies We Tell Ourselves

Your truth is at the heart of your experience of life. It drives every thought you have, every emotion you feel, every decision you make and every action you take. Becoming aware of these powerful thoughts can be extremely empowering, because it gives you a real opportunity to change them and replace them with the truths and beliefs that empower you to create what you imagine for yourself. This is what changes your experience! Below are five of the most damaging, limiting and time-consuming I AM beliefs you can hold and five REPLACEMENT TRUTHS. I encourage you to challenge any negative beliefs that you hold to be true, and embrace new, more empowering ideas of who you are. An exciting reality is only a few changed personal truths away! 1.“I AM not fortunate enough.” We can’t change the past or the conditions with which we entered this lifetime. We can, however work from the current circumstances to build the conditions that will lift us to a new experience of life. Resisting the truth of your situation or being jealous of others only adds time to what you truly want to create. The truth is that you’re fortunate in a million different ways and blessed with a million different creative opportunities. Replacement: I AM fortunate in every way imaginable. 2.“I AM not attractive enough.” Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the most important beholder is always you. The way you look at who you are has an immeasurable positive or negative effect on all who look at you. Feel beautiful, loving and accepting of yourself and everyone around you will feel it and even comment on it! Feel unattractive, unloving, and down on yourself and others will feel that too. The truth is that you are beautiful and attractive as you feel and express. True beauty is an inside job! Replacement: I AM a beautiful, attractive, and loving human being. 3. “I AM not capable enough.” You never know what’s going to happen next. Just because something hasn’t happened for you doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the future. This thought becomes really damaging when you say it about something you’ve never even tried doing before. How do you know until you try? You don’t know what you’re truly capable of until you give everything you have to the effort. There’s no such thing as failure; there’s only the opportunity to learn. Replacement: I AM capable of anything I put my mind and heart towards. 4. “I AM not worthy enough.” There is a statement in my book that says, “Your existence as matter is the self-evident truth that you matter.” It’s not your worthiness that’s in question — only your belief about your worthiness! The truth is that you’re worthy of anything you put your heart, mind and soul into, including love, a job, abundance, health, peace of mind and all the other fruits of the world. That fact that you are here, now, means you ARE worthy. Accept this truth and open the door to the experience of it! Replacement: I AM worthy of all I imagine for myself. 5.“I AM not significant or lovable enough.” There isn’t another human being in the world more or less significant or capable of love than you. Significance is defined in your mind first, then it flows into your feelings and actions. Feeling significant in your own mind translates into thoughts, words, and deeds that have significance in the world around you. You must start from the place of total self-acceptance and self-love in order to feel significant...

Learning To Live Stress Free

Learning To Live Stress Free

Millions across the globe fight stress every day. The toll on the physical and mental health of those affected is impossible to calculate.  While the world has found different ways to cope, many of these ways have a harsh backside to them. Alcohol, prescription drugs, and illegal drugs are just some the ways in which those affected by a daily build up of stress seek a release from it. These coping methods only further complicate the issue as these methods, while they tend to provide a temporary relief or distraction from the current negative state of mind, end up causing much more detrimental problems that eventually have to be dealt with at some later time. There is, however, a very powerful solution. The best way to manage stress is to change the way you interpret and respond to your world. The process involves embracing an understanding of mind that harmonizes so much with life that it eliminates the conflict that causes stress in the first place. This is a powerful shift in awareness and it provides a new enriched way of living life each day. All stress is based on a negative interpretation of yourself or the circumstances you face in your world. It is generated by the friction created between what you believe to be true as it clashes with what you are experiencing or interpreting in your world moment to moment. It is based on the meaning you are giving to each situation. When this meaning includes a threat to your life or way of existing in some way shape or form, stress is the result. The way of interpreting your world that eliminates this friction is the way in which you see all things not as happening TO you but rather you see that they are actually happening FOR you in some way. This puts your mind in less conflict and hence less stress is the result.  You end up in more of an aware curious mood where you are looking for the nuggets of wisdom or insight that the particular circumstance is bringing you. You are no longer letting fear rule your mind but are adopting a more balanced approach that is based on a new faith in life and its way of presenting new information and awareness. You are trusting life. Is it possible to live nearly stress free? Yes, but it takes a true willingness to see the world in a new light. Like any new change there is a process to adopting this new attitude. You must really want to embrace the information that will change you! However, with a strong will for different experience and an open mind towards new ways of dealing with life, what you really need and desire will show up. (Hint, it’s happening right now…) A new stress-free and peaceful way of experiencing the inevitable challenges and ups and downs on your everyday journey is upon you! The Secret of New Years Day

The Secret of New Years Day

Every year we use New Years day as possible launch pad for a new way of living. We set goals and create resolutions as we feel like we have a clean slate to move forward with our lives and tackle the new year ahead. What ultimately ends up happening two or three weeks into the new year is that many of the high hopes of for big changes have left us. The energy and enthusiasm we showed just weeks earlier wanes and before we know it its the same old same old. How does one break this cycle? How does one truly change their behavior where it becomes effortless and natural? How does one get to a state where they do not have to force themselves into change but rather automatically become the change they seek? These are powerful questions with magical answers to those who truly want them. Behaviors do not change with any high rate of success by way of force. To see this all you have to do is look anyone who is stuck in a destructive pattern of behavior. No matter what the consequences or punishment they are threatened with, in many cases the thoughts, impulses and actions don’t seem to change.  That’s why so many who go to jail and then get out seem to find their way back. There is something much stronger at work in the mind. Behavioral impulses and decisions come from certain thoughts and feelings which create energy. This energy is what forms the actions. So the vital question really comes down to where do our thoughts come from? Everything you do is a result of what you feel you need to do to survive in a way that defines you best. Notice I didn’t say “a way that honors your highest aspirations” or “a way that allows you to live to your fullest potential”. I said in a way that DEFINES you best. You are a captive to your story or your truth until you decide to CHANGE THE STORY. Every thought, feeling and action determines what you will choose to do next, good or bad. It leads you to every one of your experiences. Here is the good news and a real powerful little secret of life. Everyday can be a New Years day for you. You CAN decide to change your identity and how you choose to define yourself in the world. You CAN make changes that last and do not require a struggle or an effort. You CAN do all of this in any moment you choose. Everyday or really any moment can be a celebration of a clean slate of life and a new year ahead for you. What is required for true change is a will that is strong enough that it surpasses all fear. It requires a desire for change that is bigger that any worry of what’s next. You must simply decide who you are and how you want to demonstrate this new you and you must act before you have time to let your thoughts talk you out of it. You must be willing to take the journey to a deeper and more empowering understanding of who you really are. The reward for this type of will is the celebration of a new way of life and a truly New Year ahead. May this year be the most loving, fulfilling and peaceful one of your life, Howard   About Howard Falco Howard Falco ( HowardFalco.com ) is an international author, speaker and spiritual teacher specializing in the power of the mind...
